Our Doctors

our doctors

Essex Podiatry Associates was founded in 1977 by Dr. Neil E. Goldberg and Dr. Jeffrey N. Kaplan.

Both doctors are graduates of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, which is now part of Temple University. We opened our practice following residencies at Moss Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia. At Moss, we were in the service of vascular surgeons where we were specifically trained in the podiatric care of diabetics and patients with peripheral vascular disease, which is our sub-specialty today.

Essex Podiatry Associates cares for many foot problems including bunions, hammertoes, corns, calluses, warts, ingrown toenails, heel pain, and more. Our philosophy has always been a conservative approach, exploring all non-invasive treatments and recommending surgery only as a last resort. As previously stated, diabetic patients with peripheral vascular disease is our sub-specialty, and we do on site vascular testing.

Most recently, we implemented laser treatment for the care ofonychomycosis (fungus toenails).
